Back in 2010 I opened my first clothing store, a consignment shop. I love shopping consignment shops, some of my favorite and best items have come from this type of shopping. My ultimate goal was to own a “Boutique”. AND I did it!! I love Garment Gal and have no plans on changing what I have created.
I am missing consignment and will be bringing back Swapping Closets. My initial reason, looking at my own closet. Holy Cow, I accumulated so many cloths! I also have a number of friends that struggle with the same problem. Many of the “Thrift” stores have become pretty darn expensive and many of the “consignment shops” give you very little for you items. Consigning at Garment Gal will help us “shopaholics” get mad money. It will also allow gals to shop boutique items at a discounted price.
I am super excited about hosting Swapping Closet events! If you ever attended one of our previous events, you know how much fun we have. Swapping Closets will be a great way to give back to the community, as we will continue to have these events as fundraisers for a local organization. That means, clean out those closets and let’s have some girlfriend fun! The first event will be April 12th-14th at The Promenade Shops at Centerra, a great time to start sorting out our Spring wardrobes. TICKETS
It is always an experience when I take one of my shopping trips! I have been going out to the Fashion District in LA for about 10 years… and still get lost but normally end up finding new places to shop!! I am getting better and have made some awesome relationships with fashion vendors.
The reason?? I love to shop for great deals AND I love to pass my savings and finds on to my awesome customers. Garment Gal always find incredible one of a kind goodies to share at prices that make everyone smile.
However, these trips are not glamorous. Mini van driving and lots of hard work. Clothes are extremely heavy and I have to be careful that I do not get damaged items.
This trip, Garment Gal brought back over 300lbs of new clothing! Shipping is the hardest part but I have some very creative ways to get the 300lbs back to Colorado. Next time you see me, ask, and I will tell you one of my secrets. These items will be on the floor for sale by the weekend…and usually sell out super quick, so come on in and do some shopping!
